The fall season is officially here, although not so much in South Florida, because it still feels warm as the first day of summer. With the fall season arriving, kids are already looking forward to picking out the largest pumpkin from the local pumpkin patch. While at the same time choosing the scariest Halloween costumes to scare the other trick-or-treaters. Shhhh, don’t tell my kids, but they are not the only ones looking forward to the season.
Fall Family Adventures with Walmart Family Mobile

Some of my favorites fall activities to do with the kids are carving pumpkins, getting Halloween costumes, and decorating our front doors for the trick-or-treaters. And if you ever trick-or-treat in our neighborhood, be sure to look out for my signature items that could never be missed from our spooky front door, my paper pumpkin lanterns and creepy crawlers. However, before carving the pumpkins, picking Halloween costumes and decorating the front door, my favorite part of the this seasons begins.
You might be asking what that is? The cooler fall weather, marks the beginning our soccer season. The reasons why soccer has always been my favorite part of this season, is because I get to spend quality time with my boys playing a sport I grew playing myself. Although the school year began a little less than a month ago, this fall season has also brought with it many new adventures, questions and answers such as, at what age should a child get a cell phone? Five, eleven, thirteen? For our family, having our eldest son enter middle school provided the answer to that question. Now the question is, should our youngest boy also follow in his brother footsteps?
To no surprise, this soccer season, both of my boys were asked to join the intense competitive traveling team at our local F.C Soccer Club. This is a great honor as a parent and as a coach. Unfortunately, this also brings a new adventure for our family. For the first time in my young children’s life, I will no longer be their immediate coach. A bit nerve racking, but this also brings us back to our previous question. Should our 9-year old son have a cell phone of his very own? As a parent, I want to have a way to contact the boys directly, so the answer to this question, might have to be a yes. Since, the beginning of the school year, we decided to get our oldest son a Walmart family Mobile phone & plan. To be honest, that’s the best decision we have made for him. Although, I am still not sure if a 9-year should have a phone.
This is why, for the last few weeks, we have been contemplating going down the same route with our youngest boy. Since, he will be traveling with his soccer team, my wife and I, might just have to agree to get him a cell phone of his own. This past week, while I was gathering some of the soccer gear the boys will need for the new season. I stopped by the entertainment department at my local Walmart store to check out the new phones they have available.
You may already know that the Walmart Family Mobile service is only $29.88 per month (for the first line) with Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text, Unlimited Data service plans which include up to 1G of 4G LTE Data. After considering the LG Leon LTE and the Alcatel One Touch Pop Astro, which is only $64.88. I decided to go ahead and get the LG Leon LTE phone with the Walmart Family Mobile service. Setting up the additional account with Walmart family Mobile was easy breezy as we already have several lines under my Walmart family Mobile service plan account.

I’m helping plan my son’s school Fall Festival and cannot wait for it to actually feel like Fall here in So Cal so we can take advantage of it. Love the look of those photos! Definitely a great phone for the price. #client
