Last Minute Back To School List
Once the appointments are confirmed we wait until the check up date. I must say, from most parents, shots and teeth cleaning is not something you want your kids to go through. However, its a necessity and ensures they will start the new school year with clean bill of health and with clean teeth. So, get this part of the back-to-school process done as soon as you can.
After the medical check ups are done, we start searching for the uniforms tops and bottoms. The next items on the list are shoes and after school clothes. We then move on to the under garments and socks. Let me just, at our house, the kids speed right through socks, we can never buy enough of those. My kids are pretty good in taking care of their school shirts, bottoms even shoes. However, when it comes to socks, under normal circumstances, a couple of packets of new socks for each is due about every two months.
The last phase is getting the school supplies. Did you know that back-to-school is the second consumer spending season. Of course, the Holiday season is number one. So, you have to try to get the best bang for your buck. Begin by running a quick inventory of the supplies you already have on hand. I then compare it to the new list for each child for their respective grade, based on this, make a list of necessities. The next step is getting out there and finding what we need at the lowest price possible. The budget usually depicts the store, price and amount of materials required. If I am unable to get all the supplies my kids schools requires, I usually wait approximately a month after school start to wait for those sales and get what I missed and stuck up for the upcoming year.
