Tax season is here and now it is a great time to save funds, lower or even cancel a few bills. Every year, I look forward to our tax refund because it helps adds to our little nest egg or it gives us the opportunity to lower or cancel pending dept. As a parent of three young kids, I am always looking for ways to teach them about life choices and responsibility. We try to involve them in the choices we make and we speak to them about the financial goals we have set for them and ourselves. My Marine son has had me on his family plan with Verizon for the past couple of years, but between the two of us the cost is still a whopping $80 EACH a month.
