The kids usually gravitate to animated movies both on the big screen and at home. Taking them to the movies to watch a live action movie is not our first choice. As we walked into the theater, we were a bit skeptical, to say the least. However, as soon as the movie began, we realized that not all non-cartoon movies are boring to them. Paddington starts off with a great plot line that immediately captures the attentions of kids and adults alike. Just imagine, Bears speaking a languages we do not understand. The kids were glued to the screen for the duration of the movie. The popcorn they were eating, two out of six pieces made into their mouths, not bad odds. The straw from their juice swayed back and forth until it found its destination.

The human spirit it is the same in all animals. The human spirits includes, emotions, fears and passion, which is the reason Paddington, the bear, comes across a caring woman and family that helps him find his home. Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) finds his temporary home from the Brown family which includes, Hugh Bonneville (as Mr. Brown), Sally Hawkins (Mrs. Brown), Madeleine Harris (Judy), and Samuel Joslin (Jonathan). While Paddington searches for a permanent home with the aid of the Brown family, they encounter an evil taxidermist. Nicole Kidman (Millicent), is looking to revenge the negative treatment her father receives from his comrades by adding Paddington to her permanent collection. Take the kids to see Paddington, I am sure they will be glued to it, just like my kids.

Paddington Movie Official Trailer

From the beloved novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman (HARRY POTTER), PADDINGTON tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear who travels to the city in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says “Please look after this bear. Thank you,” and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
