Star Wars Force Friday

Both my wife and I are huge Star Wars fans, so I was beyond thrilled to find out that Star Wars Force Friday was happening again this year. The best part is that my local Best Buy store was among selected stores hosting Force Friday in-store event featuring Best Buy exclusive Star Wars products and merchandise, including the new Sphero R2-D2, BB-8, and BB-9E droid and Propel’s new Star Wars drones. New Star Wars Force Friday Sphero Droids

R2-D2 will forever be one of my favorite droids from the Star Wars saga, however, I was beyond excited to check out both the new BB-8 and BB-9E droids by Sphero. For starters, let me just say that if you are looking to add one or a few new droids to your Star Wars collections, I suggest you get one right now before they are gone. I tell you, these little droids will be the hottest items during the upcoming holiday season.

What Is It?

What are these Sphero Star Wars droids? To begin with, Best Buy has three exclusive Sphero App-Enabled Droids. These droids are exact replicas of the iconic R2-D2 a veteran of the Rebel Alliance, BB-8 trusty astromech droid of the Resistance, and BB-9E the First Order’s rolling menace. What I like about these droids? I really like that these droid are remotely controlled right from your phone via the Sphero app-enabled droid app. I also like that each droid includes a Bluetooth Smart BLE connection that lets you command it from up to 100 feet away. And lastly, I really like that they do interact with each other. You can check out my local Best Buy demo event and me playing with R2-D2 and BB-9E in the video below.

New Star Wars Force Friday Propel Drones

I tell you, the Sphero droids are a must-have for any age. If the Sphero droids are a must-have, wait until you see the new Properl drones. Because the Star Wars magic of flight just increased to a whole new dimension with the Propel Star Wars High Performance Battle Drones. With Best Buy exclusive Propel drones you can choose to flight for the Rebellion or the Empire through piloting the T65 X-Wing Fighter Star Ship, The Tie Advanced X1, or the 74Z Speeder Bike drones.
